Two weeks later and Paddling Buddy Dave and I were back in the boat together for 10 more training miles and I feel exponentially more comfortable yet.
We worked on synching our strokes and getting Dave used to the tiller steering on a 24′ long boat.
The key, I believe, was to slow things down and stay in “stride” with each other. The more we did that the more we naturally sped up a bit and the faster we went.
We even did a short sprint during mile 10 and hit 8mph.
I would say that is good progress after only 3 outings in the boat together.
